One of our goals from our Strategic Plan is to have the highest compensated staff in Southeastern Indiana, in order to retain and attract the best teachers, administrators, and support staff. We achieved this goal in 2019 when we were the first in the area to start our teachers at $40,000. For the 2024-2025 school year, our starting salary for teachers will be $49,000. This is the highest in the area. In addition, we provide excellent health insurance benefits for our employees including Health Savings Account contributions of $1,500 - $3,000 depending on the plan selection.
Part of our comprehensive Employee Wellness Program includes a free biometric screening during our annual Health Fair, as well as a smartphone app and wellness portal - Power of Vitality. Here, our employees are encouarged to develop health habits and can use the app to track their progress towards wellness goals and earn points. These points can be redeemed for gift cards or fitness devices.
